The Pointe-à-Callière Foundation is launching a new series of activities open exclusively to its Members : Pointe-à-Callière Cultural Outings. These special activities will provide an opportunity for Members to spend some time together while visiting other museums or taking part in outings of a historical or heritage nature.

The first destination, by coach, is the Canadian Museum of History, in Gatineau, for a tour of the fascinating temporary exhibition Neanderthal, arriving straight from Paris. Two narrative threads—one scientific, the other artistic—illustrate the life and work of our distant cousins, the Neanderthal, who mysteriously disappeared from the world some 30,000 years ago, after having populated all of Eurasia. To start off the day, participants will also get to enjoy a guided tour of the Museum’s iconic new space, The Canadian History Hall.
