2022-2023 Annual Campaign

The Pointe-à-Callière Foundation is creating a philanthropic fund to promote access to Pointe-à-Callière and further the philanthropic efforts of the Museum’s founder and former Executive Director, Francine Lelièvre.

The Francine Lelièvre Education Fund is a fundraising initiative organized by the Pointe-à-Callière Foundation with a goal of furthering the philanthropic and social commitments of the Museum’s founder and Executive Director from 1992 to 2020, Francine Lelièvre. She is honouring us by sponsoring our annual campaign for 2022-2023, which reflects the values she hopes to preserve for future generations: promoting education and access to culture.

We are reaching out to you to help us reach our goal: $250,000

The Pointe-à-Callière Foundation will lend its support to the Museum’s education and outreach projects. These projects will be developed together with teaching establishments in Montréal, throughout Québec, or elsewhere in the country. The projects benefiting from the Foundation’s financial aid will be announced at the beginning of each year.

Pedagogical and Social Objectives

In a social context that has been made more fragile by the pandemic, in which isolation has exacerbated several social challenges, the Pointe-à-Callière Foundation hopes to meet several objectives with this Fund:

• Developing of innovative educational programs that are in step with Montréal’s social and cultural issues;
• Supporting teaching and outreach projects for students in francization classes or from less privileged environments;
• Encouraging a spirit of sharing and community through educational activities that promote diversity and inclusion.

Every donation makes a difference, no matter the amount.

Exclusive Invitation

All donors of $100 or more will receive an exclusive invitation to a talk by Francine Lelièvre, focusing on the Museum’s 30 years of education and outreach efforts. The project to receive support from the Francine Lelièvre Education Fund in 2023 will also be announced.

To thank you for your support, the Pointe-à-Callière Foundation is giving the first 150 donors of $100 or more a pen bearing the Pointe-à-Callière logo.

A tax receipt will be issued for all donations of over $30. Thank you for supporting Pointe-à-Callière!
