Looking for entertaining and educational resources for young and old alike? Pointe-à-Callière has what you need!

Educational activities

During school groups tours, Pointe-à-Callière suggests various activities that teachers can do in class before the tour. The Museum now encourages you to try these activities at home with your children, based on their academic level.

Elementary school students can learn more about the founding of Montréal and its key figures.

Elementary school students can learn more about various historical periods and gain an understanding of the city’s evolution.

Students will discover what was life like for St. Lawrence Iroquoian boys and girls and will plunge into the fascinating world of these first farmers in the St. Lawrence Valley!

Students step back in time to discover the market square in 1749 and explore the timeline illustrating key moments in Montréal’s history.

Grade 5 or 6 students discover how Montrealers have found ingenious ways to manage their water all the way back to the 17th century

Students will learn about Montréal’s history and archaeological practice. Visit archeolab.quebec for resources (in French only).

Primary students will learn about Montréal’s development in the 19th century and the surprising and diverse faces of the evolving city.

Secondary school students can learn more about the founding of Montréal and its key figures.

Secondary school students can learn more about various historical periods and gain an understanding of the city’s evolution.

Secondary students will follow the traces left by First Peoples on the Pointe à Callière site and learn more about the diversity of Native cultures
