In the mid-1960s, Sam and Myrna Myers, two Americans in Paris, put the first touches on what would become, 50 years later, one of the richest and most all-encompasing privately owned collections of jade and Asian objects in the West. With limited means, but guided by an infalliable sense of beauty, the couple assembled over 5, 000 works of art and artefacts that bear witness to a very personal, yet perfectly coherent, vision of the world of Asian art.
