For a taste of summer, celebrate the launch of our Urban Space with us, as Place Royale is transformed into a pop-up terrasse for an evening celebrating Egyptian culture! Watch DJ Andy Williams and The Rising Few live in concert in collaboration with POP Montréal, pass by Lumanessence's henna station, savour a frozen treat from Monsieur Crémeux, and sip a cocktail from l'Apéritif bar, all in an Egyptian themed environment.

Our summer programming, varied and diverting, will be revealed during this festive party.

The Rising Few

The Rising Few are a contemporary, alternative rock band with their own brand of "Dark/Noir" commonly compared to sounds of bands such as Interpol, Joy Division and New Order. Cairo born Illustrator Karim Terouz fronts the band with his deep Cohen-ish vocals, commanding the crowd’s attention with a piercing Cat Stevens ring and an alarming David Bowie waver.

André Galamba’s guitar riffs immediately remind us of Mark Knophler’s nostalgic guitar sounds while jazzy/Big Brass Band arrangements, highlighted with trumpet hooks, take the dark sound of the band to a classy and uniq realm of it's own. A wave of hypnotic, infectious feelings comes through the band’s socio-political music as they deliver a heart wrenching, brass filled, fully emotional rock show.
