The Pointe-à-Callière Foundation Raises $155,000 at the Montréal Builders Club Benefit Evening

Montréal, June 1st, 2012 – Pointe-à-Callière raised $155,000 from generous guests, donors and sponsors at the 16th edition of the Montréal Builders Club dinner that took place on May 14th. This year’s event, organized by the Pointe-à-Callière Foundation, was hosted by Honorary Chair Richard Béliveau, PhD in Biochemistry, Director of the laboratory of molecular medicine and a researcher in the neurosurgery department at Montréal's Notre-Dame hospital (CHUM).
The Pointe-à-Callière Foundation organizes the Builders Club benefit evening every year, in co-operation with a partner. Richard Béliveau was the Honorary Chair of this year’s unforgettable event, on the theme of Hanami, the celebration of spring and cherry blossoms. The evening started off with a performance by the Arashi Daiko drumming troupe on the steps of the Museum. The guests also had a preview of the Samurai – The Prestigious Collection of Richard Béliveau exhibition and enjoyed a gourmet meal accompanied by wine kindly donated by the SAQ. A number of door prizes were also drawn, thanks to our generous partners and sponsors.
The Foundation wishes to thank Mr. Béliveau, the donors, guests and partners and sponsors who helped to make this event an unprecedented success!

The Pointe-à-Callière Foundation, created in 1993, is a charitable organization that supports the operations and growth of the Montréal Museum of Archaeology and History. The proceeds from the Foundation’s benefit activities go to the Museum to allow it to continue its development.
