Contest rules - Public Market 2022

  1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Participation in this contest is free of charge, with no purchase required. To enter, participants must meet the eligibility requirements, as well as any other conditions set out in these rules. Subject to the limitations of these rules, there is one (1) way to participate during the contest period: by sharing photos of the 18th Century Public Market event—highlighting its ambience, costumes, and elements reminiscent of New France—on the Instagram platform, using the hashtag #PACmarket2022 and the tag @pointeacalliere.

Each adequately shared photo represents one entry in the contest.

  1. HOW TO ENTER

By sharing photos of the 18th Century Public Market event—highlighting its ambience, costumes, and elements reminiscent of New France—on the Instagram platform, using the hashtag #PACmarket2022 and the tag @pointeacalliere.

  1. CONTEST PERIOD

Participants may share their photos on August 27, 28, and 29 (until noon), 2022.

  1. ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to enter the contest, the entrant must:

  • Be a resident of a province or territory of Canada.
  • Have reached the age of majority under the laws of the province or territory of residence at the time of the contest entry.
  1. AWARDING OF THE PRIZE

A random draw will take place among all photos tagged with the above-mentioned hashtag. A random selection platform on Instagram will be used.

  1. PRIZE

1 winner will receive the following prize:

  • 2 passes for an Escape on the River Cruise with Croisières AML, valued at $40 each
  • 1 individual annual membership to the Museum, valued at $30
  1. DRAW

The winner of the prize will be selected at random on Monday, August 29 at noon at the Société du Musée d’archéologie et d’histoire de Montréal Pointe-à-Callière, 350 Place Royale, Montréal, Québec, H2Y 3Y5.

  1. WINNER NOTIFICATION

The winner will be contacted via direct message on Instagram. The winner will have 24 hours to claim the prize; failure to do so will result in a second random draw to select a new winner. A photo ID will be required to verify the winner’s identity and age.

  1. RECEIPT OF THE PRIZE

Once the prize has been claimed, the winner may pick it up at the Société du Musée d'archéologie et d'histoire de Montréal Pointe-à-Callière, 350 Place Royale, Montréal, Quebec H2Y 3Y5, or have it sent by mail.

  1. DISPUTES

Any dispute regarding how this publicity contest has been run or organized may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any dispute regarding the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.

  1. PARTICIPANT

For the purposes of these rules, the eligible participant is recognized to be the person having taken the winning photo, and it is this person who will receive the prize, should this person be selected and declared a winner.

  1. EXCLUSION

Employees of Pointe-à-Callière, Croisières AML, and the artisans and volunteers in attendance at the 18th Century Public Market, as well as the persons with whom they reside, are not eligible to enter this contest.
