Born in New York/raised in Montreal, Common Holly (Brigitte Naggar) puts unpredictable compositional elements into a dark-folk framework using eclectic electro-acoustic production. Her debut album, Playing House, has received acclaim from NPR and Stereogum and contemplates the notion that conscious thought and deliberate action define maturation from child to adult.
