Looking for : Knight or knightess
Job Description
Pointe-à-Callière, Montréal Archaeology and History Complex, is looking for a knight worthy of succeeding Chevalier Louis-Hector de Callière. If you have a knightly spirit (and a sense of humor), please read on. It doesn't lead to a real job, but to an unforgettable museum adventure!
Required Profile
- Have completed the full training course, from page to squire, with honours, and hold the title of knight or knightess
- Keen expertise in weapon handling and military strategy
- Horse riding skills and the ability to steer your steed in the right direction
- Own your own equipment (sword, armor, shield), not to mention a trusty steed
- Over 5 years of experience in tournaments and jousting
- Basic knowledge of history, geography, reading, and writing (as both the sword and the mind must be kept sharp!)
Qualifications
- Sense of honour, loyalty, and courage
- Good knowledge of the codes of decency and courtly love
- Effective stress management (especially during tournaments when facing a rival who outsizes you!)
- Physical fitness (because wearing 20 kg of armor can take a lot out of you)
Hobbies and Interests – Assets
- A strong penchant for roundtable meetings
- An appreciation of social events like banquets (Ah, the noble tradition of feasting… for a good cause, of course!)
- An eye on the latest trends in weaponry
Job Benefits
- Opportunity to be ennobled based on your exploits
- Custom-made armor crafted by the greatest armorers after 1 year on the job
- 10 acres of land after 10 years of loyal service
- Bonuses: based on conquests
