A knight and his horse formed an inseparable duo. Learn about the horses’ armour, the coats of arms they wore, and the spectacular tournaments and jousts in which they took part.

Enter a fortified castle!

Make your way into the world of a fortified castle with thematic display cases, period objects, iconography, and films that will take you into the chapel, the lady’s bedroom, the great hall, and the weapons gallery.

Explore the end of an era and learn how knights evolved!

The exhibition ends with a focus on the causes of the knights’ decline and on how the title has evolved, with a presentation on the knights of New France and the last knights.

What will young people experience?

In our experiential space, day campers will have the unique opportunity to walk in a knight’s footsteps and take on a series of intellectual and physical challenges.

They’ll get to pick up a lance, try on armour, wield a sword, cock a crossbow, and look through a basinet (a type of helmet).

Distinguish fact from fiction!

Day campers will also learn to untangle the myths and realities of the Middle Ages, knights, and their armour. They will explore all the pieces of armour and clothing that knights wore, as well as the clothing of male and female peasants.

Become a knight!

By completing three challenges, days campers will have a chance to become real knights!
