Destination: Greece of heroes

The cultural heritage of ancient Greece
Discover ancient Greece, during the time of the Trojan War, where courageous heroes and powerful gods stood side by side.
With the story of Homer’s epic poem the Iliad serving as a guide, learn about the people of the time, their beliefs, their art, and all that Greek culture has left us as a legacy today.
The Origins of Heroes and Civilizations
Take your campers on a veritable journey through time to meet the great figures of Greek mythology: Achilles, Ulysses, Helen, Agamemnon, Menelaus, Priam, Hector, and many others who have become fundamental models for Western history.
Through the exhibition on Greece of heroes, you will be transported to the Bronze Age (around the 12th century BCE) and the Iron Age (around the 8th century BCE). They will learn fascinating stories of the Trojan War—when Greeks and Trojans clashed under the gaze of the gods and goddesses of Olympus—and get to see an impressive selection of authentic objects.
This large-scale, original, and immersive exhibition has been specially designed to captivate young minds, giving them a better understanding of the founding heritage of ancient Greece.
Thanks to an exceptional partnership between Pointe-à-Callière and the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports, some 300 objects from prestigious Greek national collections will be on display. This is a unique opportunity to explore the richness of Greek culture, whose influence has continued to leave its imprint on the Western world for more than 3,000 years.
