Do you know how many different languages were spoken in the New France territory in the 18th century? Go back in time with Abenaki language teacher Philippe Charland to discover the languages of the past that create the richness of Indigenous cultures. Then listen to Richard Kistabish, an Indigenous language specialist, take a contemporary and personal look at this intangible heritage. He will also talk about issues related to the survival of Indigenous languages.

This is one of the virtual activities of Pointe-à-Callière's flagship event: Public Market of the 18th Century.
