Holiday Workshops

During the holiday season—while we are unable to welcome families to the Museum in person this year—, Pointe-à-Callière has decided to call on various artists to lead creative workshops you can follow from home, as a family, at any convenient date and time!

The video workshops will be posted right here, on the Museum’s Facebook page and YouTube channel, from December 13 to January 3, as of 10 am—one activity every Sunday! A different craft project will be showcased each week, helping to bring the magic of the holidays to life. Videos will remain available at all times, so you can work on your project whenever the mood strikes!

Sunday, December 13, 2020 – Christmas Ornament Workshop
Just in time for putting up the tree! What could be better than creating your own Christmas ornament? Family members will each be able to personalize their ornaments however they see fit. A great keepsake for the years to come.

Sunday, December 20, 2020 – Christmas Gnomes Workshop
The perfect way to create a festive atmosphere a few days before Christmas Eve! This workshop will give you the opportunity to make a Christmas decoration that’s sure to fire up the Christmas spirit in young and old alike.

Sunday, December 27, 2020 – Locomotive Workshop
Love trains? Looking forward to seeing the upcoming A Railroad to Dreams exhibition? While waiting for the Museum to reopen, here’s your chance to make your own locomotive! This workshop is perfect for all die-hard train fans, as well as for the occasional traveller.

Sunday, January 3, 2021 – Train Station Workshop
Get the year off to a wonderful start by completing your railway village before the end of the Christmas holiday! How? By making your own train station when you take this workshop… riding your way into the new year on the creative railway!
