Denys Delâge, professor of history and sociology at Université Laval and expert on aboriginal peoples, will speak on the two themes that were discussed during the round table in December: Did the Mohawks occupy the island of Montréal territory in 1642 when Montréal was founded? And what do we mean by reconciliation with aboriginal peoples? He will address comments made during last December’s round table and answer questions from the audience.

The Société historique de Montréal lecture series is presented thanks to a partnership with Pointe-à-Callière, Montréal Archaeology and History Complex.
