Les Samedis de l'histoire

The Société historique de Montréal is presenting Le piège de la liberté (in French) at Pointe-à-Callière.

In a dialogue pulled from their book Les pièges de la liberté (Boréal, 2017), the authors, Denys Delâge, professor in the department of sociology and history at Université Laval, and Jean-Philippe Warren, professor in the department of sociology and anthropology at Concordia University, will talk about "how the meeting of two worlds, between Aboriginal nations and European empires, resulted in an immense culture shock" that our age seeks to understand.
