Les Samedis de l'histoire

The Société historique de Montréal is presenting Traces of the hisotry of Montréal (in French) at Pointe-à-Callière.

The lecturers will retrace the history of Montréal in the contexts of urban space and collective memory through the intermediary of remains, buildingsnd objects from a variety of periods which make up Montréal's landscape. A unique iconography will illustrate their talk, which can be found in their book Traces de l'histoire de Montréal published by Boréal in 2017.

Presentation of the lecturers: Paul-André Linteau is a historian, a recognized specialist in the history of Montréal and author of many book in this field. Mario Robert, historian and archivist, leads the Archives de la Ville de Montréal. Columnist for many media outlets, he also participated to the drafting of many works on Montréal's history.
