A captivating panel discussion on contemporary views of witches and their fascinating legacy

Join us for a unique panel discussion exploring witches, past and present—a fascinating conversation taking you on a journey through history and popular culture from a feminist perspective.

On the panel are three inspiring women sharing their points of view, redefining the iconic figure of the witch. An enriching dialogue that questions stereotypes and celebrates the resilience of women down through the ages.

Lecturers

Catherine Éthier is the event moderator. The radio commentator and author can notably be heard sharing her anecdotes on the Montréal morning show Tout un matin, on the Radio-Canada Première network.

Vanessa DL is a passionate author, podcaster, astrologist, and tarot reader who identifies as a “modern-day witch.”

Maryse Sullivan, Ph.D., is a specialist in the Educational Development and Digital Learning Department at the University of Ottawa. Her work notably focuses on the representation of the figure of the witch in literature.
