Christina Halperin (Associate Professor, Faculty of Arts and Sciences — Anthropology Department, Université de Montréal) will be your guide through this era in the history of Mesoamerica during this lecture.

Christina T. Halperin

Christina T. Halperin is an associate professor of anthropology at the Université de Montréal. Her research is focused on ancient Maya politics. She has conducted archaeological field digs in Guatemala, Mexico, and Belize over the past 28 years. She is currently heading a multi-disciplinary international archaeology project at the Ucanal site, in Guatemala. She has published extensively on such subjects as ceramic figurines, textiles, the production and circulation of polychrome pottery, architecture, and landscape archaeology.
