In relation with the Hello, Montréal! Bell's Historical Collections exhibition, Charles Terreault presents a conference on the dawn of the internet, this technology which allows us to communicate, inform ourselves, interact, work, do business, contribute, and educate ourselves accross the planet. About Charles Terreault
After graduating with a degree in electrical engineering from the École Polytechnique de Montréal, he enters Bell Canada's service in 1959 followed by other positions with Bell, Nortel, Télébec and Recherches Bell-Norton. He then founds many research laboratories focusing on telecommunications and programming. He retires from Bell in 1991 as vice-president of technology development, becomes a tenured professor at the École Polytechnique de Montréal and leader of the Chair of Management of Technology. In 1996, following his retirement from the Polythechnique, he becomes a consultant in technology management for many businesses, institutions and governments.
