Free activities for the whole family to enjoy!

All summer long, enjoy a range of free, family-friendly activities on the Pointe, inspired by the exhibition Knights.

Knights' tournaments, workshops, dance and music are on the program to immerse you in the spirit of chivalry. The Museum is also presenting activities in collaboration with the Montréal Complètement Cirque Festival and Oyez Oyez!

**Circus day! **
with Montréal Complètement Cirque

In an electrifying atmosphere, Le Moulin à Vent Productions offers families participatory circus workshops: aerialists, mât de Cocagne, balancing and juggling - there's something for everyone!

Wandering entertainment on stilts will punctuate the day, guiding young and old alike to the show, with a grand final hullabaloo.

And don't miss “Le pyjama du chat”, a brand-new contemporary circus show with a 1920s aesthetic, created especially for the Tournée des Quartiers, in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil and La TOHU. A world premiere not to be missed!

The Grand Tournament of Knights
with Oyez Oyez !

Children are invited to take up a thrilling challenge to prove they've got what it takes to be a real knight! Strength, speed and courage will be put to the test in an adventure-filled course. Once they've accomplished their mission, they'll be solemnly knighted and presented with their apprentice knight certificate.

Coat-of-arms workshop
with Oyez Oyez !

Immerse yourself in the world of noble families by creating your own coat of arms, a unique symbol of your values and identity! In this fun and creative workshop, each participant designs a personalized coat of arms to take home. A great opportunity to explore history while stimulating creativity, fine motor skills and self-confidence - ideal even for the shyest!

Crossbow workshop
with Les Ateliers C

Les Ateliers C offers a crossbow-making workshop using rigid cardboard tubes. This fun and playful activity is easy to do for young and old alike.  

The activities are presented as part of the Canadian Stone Carving Festival.

Fighting and fencing workshop
with La compagnie médiévale 

During this activity, you'll find :
- public demonstrations of various weapons and presentations (long sword, rapier, hast weapons, sword & shield, etc.)
- free sparring and instructional demonstrations

You'll have the opportunity to handle some weapons, but not to use them!

The DIY knight
with Les Ateliers C

Tinker with the articulated figure of a knight. A fun, easy-to-make activity for young and old alike!

Strolling activity - Sigrid the warrior and her faithful companion Blär
with Diffusion FAR

Sigrid is a warrior who protects her village. On a mission, she found some dragon eggs and, wanting to protect this endangered species, took them home. Early in the morning, the village is awakened by the cries of a large, angry blue dragon. Sigrid realized that the eggs had to be returned to the distressed mother. Since then, the two have joined forces to defy anyone who wants to undermine the peace of this remote land.

Renaissance dance
with Danse Cadence

Discover the grace and vivacity of 16th-century dances, performed by three live musicians and four dancers. Together, they bring forgotten choreographies back to life, such as the spectacular Danse des Bouffons, a sword dance. A lively show steeped in history, not to be missed!

Embroidery workshop
with Métiers et traditions

Initiate yourself and your family to the art of medieval embroidery!
Under the guidance of Louise Darveau and Sylvie Valois, two experienced embroiderers, you'll take part in the collective creation of a work inspired by the famous Bayeux tapestry. Let's get creative!

Storytelling
With Oyez Oyez !

Sit back, open your ears wide... and let Éric Michaud take you on a journey through medieval fabliaux and tales, funny, biting and deeply human. A moment of pure pleasure for the whole family.

Concert
with Reverdies

Take a musical journey through the centuries!
Attend an immersive concert of medieval music, where the sounds of troubadours, cantigas, trecento and Burgundian songs soar like in the days of castles and feasts.

Calligraphy workshop
With Métiers et traditions

With calligrapher Sachas Bénard, introduce the whole family to the beautiful scripts of the 10th and 11th centuries: Rotunda and Textura Quadrata. Observe the calligrapher's gestures on a large tablet, then try them out for yourself with a suitable nib.
