Expo 67 - Rendezvous in Montréal!
1967 - From April 27 to October 29, Montréal welcomed 62 nations from around the world for a universal exhibition—the first of such magnitude ever to be held in the Americas. Passport in hand, visitors traveled the world at the 90 pavilions. Exhibitions, conferences, performances and diplomatic meetings marked the rendezvous’ ambitious program.
In 1967, Montréal had never hosted such a major happening. During the course of this unforgettable event that opened Montréal and all of Québec to the world, the city bustled with frenzy and effervescence.
Half a century later, Pointe-à-Callière is presenting objects that bear witnesses to the moment when the planet met up in Montréal.
