Love, Unearthed
As children, we dreamed of discovering a treasure chest full of gold coins and jewels. As we grow older, we come to understand that true treasures are of a very different nature: their value is measured in emotions, in knowledge, in the bonds we share with those who came before us. They make us fall in love with our own history.
Pointe-à-Callière is the guardian of these love stories belonging to the people of Montréal. It preserves thousands of unearthed remains and artifacts, bearing witness to the bonds that unite the communities, families, and peoples who have shaped Montréal. Every piece in the Museum carries its own love story.

The Pointe-à-Callière Foundation
At Pointe-à-Callière, every donation reflects the conviction that our collective history deserves to be preserved, studied, and shared with both care and ambition.
Since 1993, the Pointe-à-Callière Foundation has rallied those who believe in the unifying power of Montreal’s heritage and who wish to contribute to its influence.
Thanks to the unwavering support of our donors, partners, sponsors, and Members, the Foundation enables the Museum to:
-Document and preserve remains and thousands of artifacts that tell the story of Montreal;
-Present and interpret these artifacts for future generations;
-Continue research to deepen our understanding of our past;
-Imagine new museum experiences that make history accessible to increasingly diverse audiences.
