Archaeology, History, and Technology: A Dynamic Trio!

By forming an association with Pointe-à-Callière, a company can demonstrate both its attachment to our local and international historical heritage and its desire to support innovative projects.

A resolutely modern institution, Pointe-à-Callière incorporates cutting edge digital technology in its exhibitions, bringing to life the remains of Montréal’s birthplace preserved in the Museum. It is the only Canadian museum dedicated to archaeology.

Pointe-à-Callière is also renowned for the quality and originality of its temporary exhibitions. Whether the Museum is presenting an exhibition relating to our local heritage or showcasing treasures from abroad, you are sure to discover entertaining and intriguing content that is rich in emotion, presented in a highly original museological setting. Each year, Pointe-à-Callière welcomes between 350,000 and 400,000 visitors.

Sponsorship Opportunities at Pointe-à-Callière

By sponsoring Pointe-à-Callière, your company can support the museum’s development and choose from among our many events and activities to meet your company’s objectives and reach your desired clientele.

In addition to the permanent and temporary exhibitions and the multimedia show that bring the Museum to life all year long, you can also sponsor outdoor activities for the general public, thematic seasonal events, educational workshops, or family-oriented activities.

Each of these opportunities offers great visibility at the Museum itself, on our promotional tools, and in our advertising campaigns. In addition, hospitality, marketing, and public relations privileges will be established together with your input in order to enrich our partnership experience. We can even meet your specific needs by developing a sponsorship package that is tailor-made just for you.

Sponsorships that go a long way!

Several projects in a wide variety of areas are made possible by the generosity of Pointe-à-Callière’s sponsors. Alcoa Foundation’s contribution has allowed Pointe-à-Callière to begin the first phase of its lighting system renewal. Pointe-à-Callière wants to replace its incandescent lights with less energy-consuming LED lighting. In addition to contributing to substantial energy savings, the new equipment can create specific, flexible atmospheres through the use of various special effects. LED lighting is also less harmful to the archaeological remains and collections, helping to ensure the security and preservation of our artifacts, as well as those with which our museum partners have entrusted us.

The funds received from the Alcoa Foundation have allowed us to purchase and install new equipment in certain rooms in the Museum. This project is in keeping with Pointe-à-Callière’s sustainable development policy, which involves the adoption of eco-friendly museum practices that will benefit the Montréal and Québec community as a whole.

Pointe-à-Callière thanks all of the organizations that support its many activities.
