Manon Blanchette receives the Diamond Jubilee Medal
Pointe-à-Callière is pleased to announce that Manon Blanchette is the recipient of The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, awarded by the Governor General of Canada through the Canadian Museums Association, in recognition of her exceptional contribution to Canadian culture and heritage. This commemorative medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne.
Manon Blanchette has since January held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Pointe-à-Callière. Previously, she was the Executive Director of the Board of Montréal Museum Directors. Over the course of her career, she has also held the positions of Chief Curator and Communications and Marketing Director at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal.
Active on an international level, she is currently the President of the International Council of Museums (ICOM Canada) and President of its AVICOM international committee (International Committee for Audiovisual and New Technologies of Image and Sound). Our congratulations to the laureate!
