The National Bank makes an exceptional $1 million donation to the Pointe-à-Callière Foundation’s Major Fundraising Campaign

Mariners' House – National Bank Building
The National Bank is convinced of the importance of protecting and showcasing the buildings and other traces illustrating Montréal’s past, and wishes to underscore its appreciation for history by associating its name with the Mariners' House. This building, a place for all, offers a variety of experiences for visitors. Boasting cutting-edge facilities, it houses the Archaeo-Adventure workshop, presents large temporary exhibitions and hosts lectures and cultural activities, in addition to offering some of Montréal’s loveliest multifunctional rooms for rent. The building, Phase 1 in the development of the Montréal Archaeology and History Complex, is already a versatile space promising a unique museum experience in magnificent surroundings. It is linked underground with the rest of the Museum.

This donation by the National Bank is a concrete expression of our support for the work of the Museum and the Pointe-à-Callière Foundation to protect and showcase our collective heritage,” said Louis Vachon, President and CEO of the National Bank.

About the Pointe-à-Callière Foundation
The Pointe-à-Callière Foundation, created in 1993, supports the development of the Montréal Museum of Archaeology and History. Right from the start, it has contributed to all the Museum’s major projects. The Foundation is now carrying out its first major fundraising campaign, with a goal of $10 million.
