Treat your employees, partners, clients or members of your professional corporation to a reception at the very birthplace of Montréal.

Press conferences, launches, reunions, cocktail parties, convention opening ceremonies, award ceremonies, annual meetings, gourmet meals and business breakfasts... there's no end to all the events you can organize at Pointe-à-Callière. It's sure to go down in the history of your organization!

Give them the gift of ... history

A reception at Pointe-à-Callière is bound to be all the more successful if it is accompanied by a private tour of the archaeological site, including:

  • The multimedia show above the remains, Montréal, Tales of a City..., the most fascinating archaeological and historical experience in Montréal (18 minutes).
  • The underground archaeological tour, showing you Montréal’s first Catholic cemetery, the former Little Saint-Pierre River and the archaeological crypt under Place Royale, ending at the doors of the historic Ancienne-Douane building (20 to 45 minutes).
  • The tour length can be adapted to your requirements.

Youville Pumping Station

Located just across from the Museum, at 173 Place d'Youville. As Montréal's first fully electrified wastewater pumping station, the Scottish brick building, dating back to 1915, is a key part of the city's industrial heritage. The pumping and water-level control equipment can still be clearly seen in the underground portion of the building, extending two storeys below ground level. Guided tours of this part of the building are available at an additional charge.

The warm colours, the sunlight flooding through the superb arched windows and the monumental pumps are sure to captivate your guests – especially anyone who enjoys the humming of powerful motors and the “industrial” look.
