Montréal Love Stories
A love letter to a sweetheart of a city
Why is it that so many men and women have chosen to live and love one another in Montréal? Why, despite the hectic pace and daily tribulations of a large city, do so many people say that they wouldn't want to live anywhere else?
Explore this enchanting, colourful exhibition and let Montréal men and women explain their passion in their own ways. Through letters, objects and first-hand stories from Montrealers representing different communities, photos depicting urban landscapes, video montages and works by local artists, the exhibition presents a series of intimate portraits leading visitors to the very heart of the crossroads of peoples that is Montréal.
Montréal Love Stories is ...
- a glimpse into the secrets of Montrealers' hearts
- a vibrant tribute to intercultural couples
- a festive atmosphere highlighting the pleasures of the table and community celebrations
- an invitation to explore some Montréal family roots
This playful, moving exhibition looks at the people from near and far who have chosen to settle in Montréal to live, work and wed here, raise children, rub shoulders with born Montrealers and become full-fledged Montrealers themselves, proud to share their cultural heritage whether they left their homelands 2, 5, 10, 25 or more years ago.
The exhibition will end on Monday 24, 2013
