Mission
The Museum’s mission is to bring visitors to know and appreciate the Montréal of yesterday and today through outreach, education, conservation and research activities revolving around Montréal’s archaeological and historical heritage; and to build links with regional, national and international networks in these fields, for the benefit of our visitors. Along with its permanent exhibitions, it offers a constantly changing program of temporary exhibitions, cultural activities and educational programs.
Board members
An independent non-profit corporation, the Société du Musée d’archéologie et d’histoire de Montréal, Pointe-à-Callière, oversees the management of the Museum in keeping with this mission. Its 15-member Board, representing various Montréal communities and the City of Montréal, is responsible for deciding on the general orientation and policies of the institution.
